As you research elementary schools, we encourage you to familiarize yourself with our mission, vision, and curriculum highlights; read about academics and extracurriculars at Jones; and get to know our school leaders (Principal Ruafika Cobb was recently named the North Carolina Western Region Principal of the Year!).
You can explore this website for information about our active Family-Teacher Organization (FTO) – all Jones families are automatically members and are invited to participate in our monthly meetings – and for the latest school news.
Our school community comes together throughout the year for social, cultural, and artistic events including Open Houses, concerts, academic showcases, outdoor gatherings, our annual school musical, and more. We also welcome parents and guardians to volunteer in and outside of the classroom.

Jones representatives will be on hand to answer your questions at the Asheville City Schools Elementary Magnet School Information Night on Tuesday, January 23 from 5:30-8pm at Asheville Middle School.
We also invite you to join us for our Jones Elementary Showcase on Monday, January 29 from 5:30-7:30pm, when you can experience our welcoming North Asheville campus in person and learn more about what makes Jones a great choice for your family.
Can’t make it to either event? Come by Friday, February 2 for a tour, instead. Tours will begin every 20 minutes from 8:30-11am and from 1-2:30pm.
